August Outsiders' contribution by Jakarta-based Dekadenz Records inviting BAUR, new project of Indonesian music producer Aditya Permana. The band is defined through its raw, primitive sound, heavily inspired by the home tape recording culture of the late 1980s. BAUR's music frequently contains fragments of TV and radio news, containing a collage of social and political commentary that leans toward a satirical and cynical context. Reflecting upon the chaotic and polluted environment of Jakarta, BAUR’s long play format often narrates a reality that is gritty and apocalyptic but also containing melancholy and hope.
