My guest is called Yannick Bertrand, he is a discrete connoisseur and a walking encyclopedia on the history of Funk music. Yannick emphasises the importance of Funk as a mainstream style in the 70s and 80s, which transformed into nowadays Hip Hop and RnB. When we refer to major Funk artists like Luther Vandross, Shalamar, or Prince, it takes us directly back to the past. However, there is a revival today, with some artists still creating Funk music. Maybe we can say "undergoing funck music" ?
