Amsterdam-based label Knekelhuis. The same year he featured on Brihang’s Casco album, for which he recited poems by Georges Perec. September 2020 his first solo 7” vinyl was released on Brussels finest Lexi Disques imprint. Alex's radio show is called Nonchalance Calculée: bienvenue dans la poésie, and focusses on poetry, bar culture and the Brussels dialect. During the 2020 lockdown, Alex was part of the ‘Dichters van wacht’ project and he saw his first poem published in Paris-based literary volume The Opiate. By the end of the year he’ll be featured in ‘Zwemlessen voor later’, the first poetry volume by Klimaatdichters, published by Uitgeverij Vrijdag. He is also part of deBuren’s Besmette Stad project celebrating poet Paul Van Ostaijen, for which he’s collaborating with Dutch producer Endfest. In the meantime he is writing his debut poetry volume and working on more vinyl releases. Since 2016 he has been a draftsman at the Brussels edition of De Sprekende Ezels. In addition to poetry, he mainly fills his days with the plastic side of life, formerly as an illustrator for De Standaard Weekblad and Bruzz, now mainly for himself and as a painter of record covers (George Adams, NTrek, JtotheC, Inkswel, etc.) In a previous life (2010-2015) he ran On-Point, a culture site, video series and underground record label, ft. artists like Delv!s, JtotheC, Leron Thomas, Uphigh Collective, Maseratay, etc. For the celebrated documentary The Sound of Belgium, he worked on the research and conducted three quarters of the interviews.
